About the author:
Sawar Ajmer, Rajasthan, is the birthplace of Silisti Karuriya. She was from a middle-class family and had graduated from Sawar, Ajmer, with a basic education (Rajasthan).
She had developed her writing abilities at school, and after completing her education, she applied for pre-medical exams. But, she was unsuccessful in the PMT examination, which had a negative effect on her mental health. As a result, she decided to set all of her writings on fire. Yet, this aspiring author was not discouraged because she is also interested in painting and other forms of art. She applied for admission to Banasthali Vidyapith’s M.Sc (Bioscience) programmes after completing her B.Sc.
She quickly rose to the top rank holders category while studying her M.Sc. She also received numerous awards during her academic career.
Silisti Karuriya competed in the “JANUS-2016” Quiz Competition, sponsored by the Faculty of Science and Technology at Banasthali Vidyapith in Rajasthan, and took first place.
She began studying diligently for the civil services after being admitted since she wanted to become an IAS official. Nevertheless, family pressure caused the IAS officer dream to crumble.
