Bobble AI, an Indian AI innovation business, found that only 6.1% of Indian women use gaming apps, despite a 50% rise in smartphone usage in the past year. The research also found that 11.3% of Indian women use smartphones for payment apps. However, food, communication, and video apps are used more by women (23.5%).

Bobble AI’s mobile usage trends and Indian consumer mindshare study informed the conclusions. The analysis used first-party data from the company’s 85 million Android cellphones. The paper analyses 2022 and 2023 mobile usage patterns. According to the survey, India spends 76.68 percent of their smartphone time on communication, social networking, and video apps.

The survey also found that smartphone usage increased by 50% from January 2022 to January 2023. Daily mobile keyboard use averages around 30 minutes. Lifestyle applications engaged users the most, with over 9% of time spent on them. The report also found over 1% time spent on finance, gaming, music, and entertainment applications.
