Punjabi farming family might take inspiration from Kulwant Kaur.
Despite having just completed her 10th grade, Kulwant Kaur, the founder of KKNS Products of India, is well-known among the women of Amrala village in Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab, as a successful female entrepreneur in that country.
KKNS Products of India is the name of the small processing company that Kulwant Kaur and Jaswinder Singh are currently operating. Kulwant was married in a farming household because she is a farmer’s daughter.
Her family had previously farmed on the 2.5 acres they owned. But despite my best efforts, I still did not make much money. She always made an effort to take action in order to better her family’s financial situation.
In addition to farming, Kulwant worked in the fields doing needlework and weaving.
Formerly, Kulwant Kaur and her husband Jaswinder Singh ran a dairy farm with 30 buffaloes.

Kulwant Kaur began her profession by creating raw turmeric pickles almost ten years ago. She currently produces around 40 different types of goods.

Entrepreneurial Experience
Jaswinder Singh once discovered through reading a newspaper article that the Fatehgarh Sahib Krishi Vigyan Kendra had put together a free training course on managing fruits and vegetables.
He invited Kulwant to take part since he anticipated that Kulwant would find it interesting. Kulwant Kaur used to travel daily from her hamlet to Krishi Vigyan Kendra as part of a five-day training programme. All of the participants competed in a competition on the final day of training. She made pickled raw turmeric and apple jam. The winner of this competition was Kulwant Kaur.
Everyone liked “Haldi Ke Achaar,” and after she won this minor competition, her confidence grew. She believed she could accomplish anything now.
She was determined to use her talent and not let it go to waste. She began creating turmeric pickles in 2011 with very little capital.
She purchased some raw turmeric, made a pickle with it, and set up booths outside gurudwaras and at PAU fairs.
Numerous people purchase her products at these fairs, and after that, they gradually began placing larger orders. In addition, she has a booth in the neighbourhood market.
After a few months, she began preparing turmeric juice, powder, and pickles.
Kulwant Kaur began to receive favourable orders. In order to learn how to create more novel items, she also started gathering information on the many training programmes offered by Krishi Vigyan Kendra.
Also, she received instruction from Krishi Vigyan Kendra on how to make shampoo, phenyl, amla juice, chutney, and soap.
She also joined the Punjab Agricultural University Farmers Club (PAU Kisan Club) and participated in all of the free training courses offered there.

Nirmal Singh, a farmer, was a student in one of Kulwant Kaur’s training sessions at Krishi Vigyan Kendra. According to Nirmal Singh, he also desired to establish a processing facility.
Kulwant Kaur founded her business alongside Nirmal Singh, her husband, and her family.
They purchased processing equipment in Delhi. They can simply process crops like amla and aloe vera with this processing system.
She began producing more than 40 goods after buying the equipment, including pickles, amla candy, aloe vera juice, squash, and satras.
Nirmal Singh, it becomes exceedingly challenging for women to work outside of the hamlet. Nonetheless, Kulwant Kaur’s efforts inspired many women.
KKNS Products is now growing numerous varieties of fruits, aloe vera, and turmeric and processing them to create high-quality goods.
She used to make over 50,000 in a single month. Also, she had hired numerous ladies.
The closure of the agricultural fairs, however, has had a significant negative influence on their industry. He has established a modest channel of his own in this circumstance.
