Do we have any idea what we’re doing down here on Earth? There are times when we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and there are other times when we don’t know who we are or where we belong.
Circumstances of this kind are extremely common. In spite of the fact that everyone has them, very few people actually talk about them. If you’ve recently found yourself feeling overwhelmed by life, you’re not alone.
Thankfully, the answer to this catastrophic problem has been found because so many others have gone through it before you.
I don’t understand why I’ve gotten to this point of existential confusion.
This is an analogy that I frequently use in my role as a life coach. Like a roller coaster, life is full of ups and downs. It’s not uncommon to hop on a ride that literally takes you to the clouds. At other times, it could serve as a reality check that brings you back to Earth. If your life is a roller coaster, you may sometimes wonder how you got lost on the ride.
How do we account for this? Why is this occurring, exactly?
It’s possible that not having enough time to pursue your passions is contributing to how you’re feeling.
If you are committed to your job, that is wonderful. It’s possible, however, that you won’t be able to use this as a creative outlet. Ultimately, you’ll feel like you’re in a rut if you’re too busy with your job and other everyday activities.
Although you may be constantly surrounded by other people, there may be a lack of actual support.
Uncovering Happiness and Meaning in Adversity
It isn’t necessary for you to continue making poor selections because of your misunderstanding. In lieu of that, try these four simple steps to get clarity.
Keep Calm and Carry On
When people start to experience brain fog, they often panic. When you feel like you have no say in your life, it’s natural to feel anxious. But remember that this feeling won’t last forever.
Don’t try to escape the problem. This short-term fix will simply worsen your situation. Keep your chin up and tell yourself you can get through this. Consider a time when you faced a challenging situation and the steps you took to resolve it.
It’s normal to have some doubts in your ability to persevere in the face of adversity if you let your mind fill up with negative thoughts.
When you’re feeling confused or have made a mistake, it’s important to pay attention to the words you’re using to console yourself. Positive self-talk can help you feel more in charge of your life, even if you’re feeling confused.
How to Orient Yourself in a Confusing World
The first of the three essentials is to determine your life’s path. There’s a reason for each of us to be here. No matter how large or small your actions may be, they all contribute to your life’s larger meaning. Feeling lost in life can be alleviated by making the right decisions. Each of your actions matters because it brings you closer to the goal you seek.
But the solution can be found if one keeps digging.
There isn’t a magic book or treasure chest where you can find the answer to what you should do with your life. It’s in your immediate vicinity more than anything else on Earth. The solution you need is right in front of you. It has always been there, but you have to struggle with yourself to bring it out.
Again, millions of others have gone before you, so the door is already unlocked for you… You can achieve your goals, too.
It’s only natural to feel confused from time to time; after all, life is hard. Fortunately, if we are able to effectively process our uncertainties and ambiguities, they can help us gain greater insight into what we really want out of life.
Learn to identify the sources of your confusion and work to resolve them.
